He is a wild bird
He belongs in the wild flying free
He is not meant for your cages
But his friends who are not wild live in your cages so for now that is where he chooses to be
But you cannot expect him to act like a caged bird while he is there
For he is not. He is still the wild bird
He will be a challenge to you and it will be hard but he is the most amazing bird in the flock
His wild spirit will trigger your caged one but look at him with grace
His magic will soothe you if you let it
When he flys free again you will see all the magic and colours in his wings

Triggers

triggers
uncover your heart wound
barely covered by time
like that
I am swept out to the darkest depths of my grief
tears flow relentlessly
where only days ago I thought they were dried up
Losing you is still the most painful experience I have and I can have it over and over again
Breathe
Breathe
I keep taking one breath after another, calming myself to live without you
just as I have for sixteen months
and will for the rest of my life

When I was young the words came freely to me, they would arrive spontaneously and preformed, I only had to write them down…..
Now I have to work hard to draw them out, I have to seek them out of the jumble of nothing and everything… They rarely come to me of their own accord anymore and even less often am I able to record them before they pass on by…….
